SUPPORT

We provide emergency food parcels

Food parcels can be requested once every 10 days. We are open for emergency parcel requests from 10am–3pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.

If you would like to request a parcel, you can contact us in the following ways:

Phone or text (10am–3pm): 07310160595

Email: support@oxfordmutualaid.org

Via the online form below.

Our parcels contain a balanced supply of pasta/rice, bread, tinned goods, fruit/veg, protein, chilled/frozen items plus toiletries, cleaning products, pet food and baby supplies - all subject to supply levels.

We aim for these to cover a household’s food needs for 3-4 days. We work hard to spread what we have as fairly and efficiently as possible between thousands of people.

Emergency Parcels can be ordered every 7 days from when you last requested.

After requesting an emergency parcel for the first time, one of our team will call you on No Caller ID to take down your information and food preferences. We want to get you food you enjoy eating, so please give us as much info on your dietary preferences as possible!

We do not require referrals for parcels and welcome self referrals - you do not have to provide a reason for needing help, and we do not means test.

An OMA food parcel - a Green plastic crate filled with potatoes, green onions, red bell peppers, onions, garlic, and other vegetables, on a wooden table.

Collection

We are work with partner organisations to provide drop-in collection points for our food parcels. This is held at the following location(s):

  • The Porch (139 Magdalen Rd, OX4 1RL):
    Monday–Friday 11pm–3pm

Emergency food parcel requests can be taken in advance and scheduled for collection at an upcoming drop-in.

Delivery

We aim to provide home delivery of parcels within a few days of a request being made, but we cannot always guarantee this due to limited stocks and/or drivers.

If we are unable to schedule a delivery on a given day, please contact us on the next day that we’re open. We can also offer signposting and referrals to other organisations and services.

The only barriers to receiving our deliveries are geographic (you must live within Oxford to receive a parcel delivery). If you live outside of Oxford you are welcome to collect (see below).

We currently have the following items in extreme excess. Please let us know if you would/wouldn’t like these items when requesting.

Much of our supply is supermarket surplus, so items may be on or near to their use by date. Be prepared to batch cook or freeze!
