NHS 111 is a non-emergency service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – they are currently very busy and phone waiting times very long, if you have been ill with COVID-19 like symptoms for more than 7 days, or are experiencing suspected COVID-19 related breathing difficulties you are advised tha t you MUST wait and speak to specialist 111 nursing staff.
The NHS portal for online COVID-19 symptom assesment – this is an improving service and now includes the option to book a 111 nurse call back should your symptoms prove moderately severe. Please do use this service if you have COVID-19 symptoms especially if living alone – it could save your life.
A new service. If you have coronavirus symptoms, you can share your mobile number to get updates about coronavirus from the NHS. The texts will: offer advice; ask how you are feeling; provide links to trusted sources of information and support.
